In leading a come-from-behind victory over Waterloo, rookie forward Alexandra Evanysnyn scored the game-tying goal and set up the game-winner as the Varsity Blues field hockey team defeated the Warriors 3-2 this weekend.

The Burlington, Ont., native rallied the troops to come back from a 2-1 deficit with less than 25 minutes to go in their game on Saturday. Evanysnyn scored the game-tying goal when she received a pass in the circle, dribbled through a defender and charged the goalie to slip the ball into the back of the net.

A first-year physical education and health student, Evanysnyn then set up the game-winner to complete the comeback attempt over the Warriors.

Evanysnyn also tallied two goals as the undefeated Blues handily defeated the Carleton Ravens on Sunday. She is tied for third in the OUA scoring race with five goals in as many games.
