Second-year sprinter Alicia Brown raced her way to an impressive three gold medals against top NCAA competition at the University of Findlay’s Indoor Classic this weekend in Findlay, Ohio.
 
The Ottawa native edged Brittany Brown of Central State University by two one hundredths of a second to finish first in the women’s 200m with a time of 25.76 seconds. 
 
Brown then dominated the 400m, crossing the finish line in 57.89 seconds ahead of Sienna Height’s JoRanda Chapman (58.63) and teammate Athena McBean (59.98) or Mississauga, Ont.
 
Brown earned her third first-place finish of the weekend as a member of the 4x400m relay team. The Communication Culture and Information Technology (CCIT) major teamed up with Jessica Caterini (Ajax, Ont.), Athena McBean (Mississauga, Ont.) and Sarah Wells (Unionville, Ont.) to break the previous meet record of 3:54.62 with a time of 3:54.03.
