Evan Falardeau led all players with 19.5 points as the No. 9 nationally-ranked Varsity Blues men's volleyball team defeated the Nipissing Lakers 3-1 (23-25, 29-27, 25-23, 26-24) on Friday.
 
A second-year left side hitter from Stratford, Ont., Falardeau recorded 18 kills and 1.5 blocks, while also adding a team-high 11 digs on the night.
 
The political science major sits third in the province in kill (3.82) and points (4.3) per set. The Blues improve to 8-1 and remain atop the OUA East division.
