Fifth-year right side hitter Alina Dormann notched a game-high 21 points in leading the No. 3 nationally-ranked Varsity Blues women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-17) victory over the Nipissing Lakers on Friday night.
Â
A health and disease major from Ottawa, Dormann led all players with 16 kills, while adding four aces, one block and 12 digs in Toronto’s ninth straight win.
Â
Dormann now ranks fourth in the OUA in both kills (3.38) and points (4.2) per set, while the Blues hold a 9-1 record and sit in second place in the OUA East, four points behind the Ryerson Rams but with three games in hand.
