Fourth-year veteran Emily Ziraldo scored seven goals, including all three game-winning markers, in leading the Varsity Blues field hockey team to nine points in Kingston this weekend.

Ziraldo kicked off the weekend by scoring the eventual game-winner in the 15th minute in Toronto’s dominant 8-0 victory over the host Queen’s Gaels on Saturday morning. The Master’s of management of innovation student followed that up by scoring all four of U of T’s goals in a 4-1 win over the Western Mustangs on Saturday afternoon.

A Toronto native, Ziraldo capped off the weekend by scoring the first two goals of the game as the Blues defeated the Waterloo Warriors 4-0 on Sunday morning. Ziraldo currently leads the OUA with 10 goals scored in four games.
