Third-year standout Sarah Dunning won the individual title while leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s golf team to their third consecutive provincial banner at the 2014 OUA championship, October 20-21, at Oshawa Golf and Curling Club.
Dunning, a third-year math major from Kitchener, Ont., won the Judy McCrae Trophy as the individual champion by three strokes, shooting a two-day score of 149 (76, 73). Dunning’s second-round score of 73 was also a championship low.
An OUA first team all-star, Dunning led the Blues to a combined team score of 461, which placed them a whopping 23 strokes ahead of the silver medalist Western Mustangs, to claim the Liz Hoffman Cup as OUA champions.Â
