Third-year midfielder Miranda Badovinac scored three goals in leading the Varsity Blues to two draws in OUA women’s soccer action this past weekend.

Badovinac, a transfer from the UAlbany Great Danes (NCAA), scored in the 36th minute of the match to lead the Blues to a 1-1 tie with the No. 1 nationally ranked and U SPORTS defending champion Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday.

The life science major from Burlington, Ont., followed that up with a two-goal performance on Sunday. With U of T trailing 2-0 at the half, Badovinac got the Blues on the board as she went bar-down on a nice pass from teammate Jenny Wolever in the 50th minute.  She netted the equalizer in the 62nd minute with a beautiful header to beat Gaels goalkeeper Alanna Richardson.

Badovinac currently co-leads the OUA with six goals in four games so far this season.
