A third-year quarterback from Pierrefonds, Que., Clay Sequeira combined for 423 all-purpose yards in the Varsity Blues home opener versus Waterloo on Saturday night.

The commerce major went 31-for-47 for 361 yards and one touchdown, with his 31 completions and 361 passing yards both marking career-highs. He currently ranks third in the OUA in passing yards per game.

Sequeira also rushed five times for a team-high 62 yards, including an impressive 21-yard rushing major early in the fourth quarter.
