Second-year forward Mathilde De Serres scored both goals in leading the Varsity Blues women’s hockey team to a 2-1 victory over the Windsor Lancers on Friday night at Varsity Arena.
 
The mechanical engineering major from Ville Mont-Royal, Que., got the Blues on the board 6:48 into the second period as she forced a turnover on the penalty kill and made no mistake in beating Lancers goaltender Molly Jenkins.
 
De Serres struck again just over 10 minutes later when she received a pass in the neutral zone, split the Lancers defencemen and fired over Jenkin’s glove.
