Blues striker Nordo Gooden scored all three Toronto goals as the No. 6 Varsity Blues men’s soccer team went 2-0 this weekend (Oct. 16-17) and clinched first place in the competitive OUA East division.

 

Gooden (Kingston, JAM) tallied both markers as the Blues defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs, 2-0, on Friday afternoon and scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday night. The Blues have won eight consecutive games and Gooden’s stellar performance this weekend has helped his team earn a bye into the OUA quarter-finals.

 

The fourth-year economics major leads the Blues and is currently ranked second in the OUA with seven goals in 13 games.
