Keyira Parkes, a third-year guard from Scarborough, Ont., combined for 35 points in helping the Varsity Blues women's basketball team to a 1-1 week at home.

The criminology major led all players with 23 points as the Blues upset the Lakehead Thunderwolves, 72-64, on Friday night. Parkes scored 13 points in the fourth quarter alone, while also adding four rebounds, two assists and one steal in the victory.

She also notched 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal versus the Ryerson Rams on Wednesday night. Parkes heads into the December exam break as Toronto's leading scorer and ranked ninth in the OUA averaging 14.9 points per game.
