University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's wrestler Grace Bannerman earned the bronze medal in the women's 82kg category at the 2014 CIS championships, February 28-March 1, in Fredericton, N.B.

Bannerman, who earned the OUA silver medal in the same event two weeks ago, defeated Regina's Emily Foerster to claim the third spot. The Niagara on the Lake, Ont., native finished second in her pool to earn a spot in the bronze-medal match.

In her rookie season, Bannerman placed sixth overall at the national championship in the 72kg event.
