Third-year goalkeeper Sara Petrucci notched two clean sheets in helping the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s soccer team to their first victory of the season this weekend (Sept. 7-8) at Varsity Centre.

Petrucci posted four saves as the Blues defeated the Nipissing Lakers 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Bolton, Ont., native and third-year criminology major added two saves as U of T drew the undefeated Laurentian Voyageurs to a 0-0 tie on Sunday.

The University of Toronto is the proud host of the 2013 CIS women's soccer championship, November 7-10, at Varsity Centre.
