Tyler Wilson led all pitchers with a 1.64 ERA en route to the Varsity Blues baseball team’s first OUA title since 2003 this weekend (Oct. 22-23) in Waterloo, Ont.
 
After the Blues opened the championship with a 2-0 win over Western, the fifth-year graduate studies student pitched all 10 innings of a 3-2 victory over Laurier to book U of T’s ticket to the gold-medal game. 
 
A native of Port Hope, Ont., Wilson then came into the championship final in the ninth inning and closed the deal, striking out two en route to Toronto’s third OUA banner in 11 years.
