Team captain Darragh McGee scored a highlight-reel goal in the Varsity Blues men’s soccer team season opener on Sunday, September 4 at Varsity Centre.

A native of Donegal, Ireland, McGee got the Blues on the board in the 64^th minute when he capitalized on a Carleton turnover and sent a booming shot from 30 yards out into the right side of the net.

Honourable mention: Kevin Kinahan (football): recorded his first two career interceptions – one of which he returned for 69 yards and totalled five tackles at Windsor on Labour Day.
