Andrew Wasik led the No. 9 Varsity Blues men’s basketball team in both road games this weekend in Ottawa, totaling 34 points and 16 boards.

 

The Burnaby, B.C., native posted a double-double of 18 points and 13 boards as the Blues defeated the Ottawa Gee-Gees 77-73 on Friday night. Wasik scored 12 of his team-high 18 points in the second half to lead Toronto’s steady comeback after trailing by as many as nine points in the third quarter.

 

A fourth-year commerce major, Wasik went on to lead U of T with 16 points, shooting 66% from the floor and going 4-for-5 from the free throw line, versus the No. 1 Carleton Ravens on Saturday night.
