The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Elizabeth Soboleva to the women's volleyball program for the 2026-27 season.

A 6-foot-1 middle from Richmond Hill, Soboleva joins the Blues via St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School and Pakmen Volleyball.

“I chose U of T because of the energy I felt as soon as I entered the gym for the first time," said Soboleva. "I was drawn in by the strong academic reputation and global leadership in research and innovation - with access to cutting-edge technologies and variety of programs it offers. It is a place that demands excellence, and I knew right away that the environment would push me to grow."

Strong at the net, Soboleva's exceptional play has allowed her opportunities to compete at the provincial level. This included with Team Ontario Red & Black in 2024 and most recently with Team Ontario Black in 2025. She has been a member of several medal teams with her clubs.

Soboleva has earned multiple academic awards and achieved honour roll status throughout her high school career.

Students who sign a letter of intent and commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
