Martina Boscoscuro joins the Varsity Blues this season as an assistant coach after 11 years of ?playing professional volleyball in Europe. Martina spent 9 seasons in Italy and one season in Germany and Belgium.? Her first appearance in the professional league was in 2005 in Cremona, after that she continued playing in the top teams like Padova, Piacenza, and Pesaro where she won the Italian championship and the Italian Super Cup in 2010. Her last two seasons as a professional was with the a1 teams from Congliano and Bolzano. One highlight of her career was winning the European championship as a member of the Italian national team in 2006. She also won three Italian championships under 17 and received the award as best libero in Italy the under 19 category
