The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Agata Colombo to the women's volleyball program for the 2026-27 season.

"I chose U of T because it's a place that will push me to grow in every aspect of my life, allowing me to pursue both volleyball and academics at high level," said Colombo. "But most importantly U of T will give me a place where I'll be able to enjoy every single moment of that growth."
 
A 5-foot-9 outside hitter from Zurich, Switzerland, Colombo joins the Blues via Hull's School and Eaglets Volley Aarau.

Colombo is an Olympic Card athlete, training with the Swiss national development team since 2023. As part of the development program she has competed at the Cornacchia World Cup, Youth Alpen Tournmament, and Swiss Championships. Additionally, with her club team she placed second overall in the National League B which is the highest division before professional competition.

A leader on-and-off the court, she has served as team captain and consistently achieved both Honour's List and Dean's List. 

"We’re excited to welcome Agata to U of T," said Varsity Blues head coach Kristine Drakich. "She is a hardworking, committed person who loves to learn and is motivated to thrive in both the classroom and the gym. She will add strength to our outside hitting position and with her experience in her country’s national talent development system she is well prepared for the demands of being a student-athlete and will have a positive impact both on-and-off the court."
 
Students who sign a letter of intent and commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
