The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Kimee Liu to the women's soccer program for the 2026 season.

A 5-foot-5 midfielder from London, Liu joins the Blues following two seasons with the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies.

During her two seasons competing in the NCAA, Liu appeared in 37 matches registering 17 shots on goal, three goals, and one assist. The attacking midfielder would earn several accolades including 2025 Horizon League Breakout Candidate and 2024 Horizon League All-Freshman Team honours. Prior to her collegiate career kicking off, Liu was also a standout with FC London helping win the 2024 League1 Cup Championship and finishing as the OPDL Top Scorer in 2023. Meanwhile, this summer with Railway City FC she currently has 10 goals across 11 matches played. Throughout her high school career at Oakridge Secondary School she also showed off her versatility winning team MVP with both the soccer and basketball teams, and earning Athlete of the Year in 2023-24. 

"I chose U of T because of its outstanding academic reputation, welcoming community, and the strong history of the women’s soccer program," said Liu. "I am excited for the opportunity to grow as a student, athlete, and teammate while being part of such a respected program."

A Dean's List student while studying at Oakland University and an Academic Excellence Award recipient in high school, Liu will transition to the Social Sciences program at U of T beginning her Junior year this fall.

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
