Dave McAllister joined the Varsity Blues as an assistant coach in 2015-16. He comes to the Blues after five seasons as head coach of the Sheridan Bruins. In his first season at Sheridan (2010-11), he guided the Bruins to a 20-7 record and helped lead them back to the OCAA championship tournament for the first time since 1994, when they ended their run of six straight OCAA titles.

The 2010-11 OCAA West coach of the year racked up a 101-70 record overall and a 54-36 conference record during his five seasons at Sheridan. Prior to that, McAllister served as an assistant coach with the McMaster Marauders for six seasons.
