The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Max Goldsworthy to the men's soccer program for the 2026 season.

A 5-foot-8 defender from London, England, Goldsworthy joins the Blues via Woking College and Woking FC Academy.

The leading scorer and co-captain with his high school team, Goldsworthy displays excellent ability all over the pitch as a crafty defender and adept playmaker. Joining Woking FC in 2023, he has competed with both the U18 and U21 squads, as well as the traveling roster which most recently played against top level team in the Netherlands. In addition to his experience in Europe, Goldworthy has also attended Vancouver Whitecaps academies and was added to the Canada Soccer ID Excel Program.

Max will come to Toronto with some familiarity as sister Georgia has been a member of the U of T women's soccer team for the past three seasons. 

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
