Nikola Stakic joined the Varsity Blues coaching staff in 2022, fresh after graduating as a star centre back with the team. During his playing career with the Blues, Stakic was a five-time OUA all-star and captained the team from 2018-20. Prior to that, he was a regular started for the TFC II and III teams, and is currently captain of Alliance United in League One.

Stakic's coaching career began in 2018 when he started working with the North Toronto Soccer Club on a part-time basis. Since then, he has held several coaching positions, including his current roles as an Alliance United assistant coach and a Toronto FC Academy and Toronto FC Selects assistant coach.

Stakic holds a bachelor’s of kinesiology from the University of Toronto, has his Canada C coaching license and is currently working towards his Canada B license and UEFA C license.
