Cormac Rea has been an assistant coach for the Varsity Blues men's soccer team since 2019. He holds a UEFA B license from the FAI Ireland and a Canada Soccer A license.
Rea's senior coaching experience includes serving as the assistant coach for Alliance United in the League1 Men's Premier since 2021, and as the head coach for Alliance United's League1 U19 Reserves in 2022. He also worked as the head coach for Richmond Hill SC's League1 U21 Reserves in 2021. Rea's extensive experience in youth high performance coaching spans from 2005-20, working with several clubs including Richmond Hill SC, Vaughan SC, North Toronto SC, Ottawa South United, Ottawa Fury Academy, Ottawa Futuro, and Victoria West FC.
Rea currently works in communications and community engagement at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Applied Sciences & Engineering, Troost ILEAD Institute.
