Rick Dilena joined the Blues staff in 2004-05 as an assistant coach. Prior to coaching the Blues, Dilena spent seven years as the men's basketball head coach at Seneca College.
Known as a hard-working recruiter and exceptional motivator, Dilena is teaming up with Blues' head coach Mike Katz for the second time, having worked with him from 1988 to 1995 at Humber College where their combined efforts resulted in four national championships.
Dilena is a graduate of York University and the University of Toronto's Faculty of Physical Education & Health and teaches physical education at Dante Alighieri Academy.
