Former Blues captain and most valuable player, Michael De Giorgio joined the Blues bench following up his graduation in 2008. De Giorgio, a 2007-08 OUA first team all-star, was instrumental in helping the team achieve their unprecedented No. 5 national ranking in his final season. An academic all-Canadian, he averaged 30.7 minutes per game and was ranked third in the OUA and CIS in assists-per-game (7.23) in 2007-08.

De Giorgio is also a role model to younger players, having volunteered at GTA school community clinics and at summer camps in his spare time.
