Jevonhn Shepherd joined the Varsity Blues coaching staff in September 2021. Shepherd is the current general manager of the Ottawa Blackjacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), where he has been responsible for player development and organizational advancement.
He has also spent time as a basketball commentator for CBC and analyst for Sportsnet 590 The Fan and the Raptors 905.
Shepherd played in the NCAA for the University of Michigan Wolverines for four years. As a senior captain, he led the Wolverines to a NCAA tournament appearance in 2009, their first berth in over a decade.
After his college career, Shepherd played professionally overseas in Europe from 2014-20. He also represented Canada from 2005-18, having donned the Red and White in over 40 games, including appearances at the FIBA Americas championship, FIBA World Cup, and World FISU Games.
