This will be Andrew Summerville's third season with the Varsity Blues men's basketball program. Summerville brings forth a wealth of coaching experience from both the United States and Australia. He has coached in 10 Australian state championships: most notably, the 1998 Australian Basketball Association Championship where he helped lead the Southern District Spartans (Brisbane) to a championship title. In 2006, he led the ABA's Bundaburg Bulls to their best season yet (20-5). He also spent some valuable time as an assistant coach with the Australian National Basketball League's Brisbane Bullets in 2004. As the former assistant coach as Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee, Summerville helped guide the then fourth-ranked Red Hawks to an appearance at the NAIA national tournament.
