Amde Evans became the lead assistant coach of the Blues in the 2022-23 season. Evans spent the prior three seasons as an assistant with the men's basketball team. Before coming to the University of Toronto, Evans spent the 2018-19 season as the lead assistant coach of the Brock Badgers.
A Toronto native, Evans spent his own collegiate playing days in Wahpeton, North Dakota, competing with North Dakota State College from 2002-05. He returned to Toronto to play three seasons with the York Lions where he started all three years and helped guide the Lions to a berth in the 10-team national tournament in 2006.
