A graduate of Bishop’s University, Cyprian Nelson brings over a decade of coaching experience to the defensive secondary. His coaching journey spans tenures with the Northern Red Knights, Metro Toronto Wildcats, Central Tech Blues, and Vaughan Rebels, and he currently coaches the Senior team with the North Toronto Sentinels. Cyprian’s coaching philosophy centers on building technically sound, high-IQ defensive backs who play with discipline, anticipation, and physicality, while teaching the game beyond the playbook. He joined the Varsity Blues in 2025 to grow as an evaluator within a prestigious U SPORTS program and help bridge the gap between high school and university football for the next generation of Canadian talent.
