Carlie Manners joined the Varsity Blues coaching staff in March, 2024. She is a seasoned women’s coach, having served as head coach and offensive coordinator for the U18 women’s tackle team with the York Region Lions in 2022. In 2023, she coached the U18 women’s Team Ontario offensive line, earning a national bronze medal, while also competing as an athlete in the Central Canadian Women’s Football League. She is currently the offensive line coach for the U18 women’s Peel Panthers program and the head coach for the U18 women’s tackle Team Ontario.
Manners earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History from Algoma University, while also playing four years of varsity basketball for the Thunderbirds. She went onto complete her Master’s at the University of New Brunswick and there, began playing in the Maritimes Women’s Football League.
Manners is currently completing her PhD in History at the University of Toronto.
