High School: Was a three-year starter in the Winnipeg High School Football League AAA division...led the league in blocked kicks and finished third in interceptions in his senior year...named to the WHSFL Senior Bowl. 

Personal: Sister, Alexa, is a professional ballerina...Mother, Janet, has run three Boston marathons, as well as the Berlin and New York marathons...Step father, Rick Watts, was named the Manitoba high school athlete of the half century, played on the Canadian senior men's basketball team and was a member of the 1976 national university champion Manitoba Bison.
