Keegan Pereira joined the Varsity Blues coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2021. He is a highly accomplished field hockey player, having represented Canada on the international stage for over a decade. With over 200 international games under his belt, Pereira captained the Canadian national team at both the 2022 Pan Am Cup and 2022 Commonwealth Games. He has also represented Canada at two Olympic Games (2016, 2020), two World Cups (2010, 2018), two Pan Am Games (2011, 2019), and four Commonwealth Games (2010, 2014, 2018, 2022). Pereira also won two German Bundesliga championships with HTC Uhlenhorst Mulheim in 2018 and 2019.

Pereira has also proven himself to be a highly effective coach, with a wealth of experience at both the national and provincial levels. He worked as the U18 Ontario boys assistant coach in 2022 and as an Ontario and Quebec boys NextGen assistant coach from 2019-21.
