Serving as the interim head coach for the Varsity Blues field hockey team's 2026 season, Alison has been a familiar presence on the U of T sidelines for more than a decade.
Alison first stepped onto the U of T campus as a student-athlete competing with the Varsity Blues field hockey team from 2012 to 2016. She was named an OUA all-star four times, CIS All-Canadian twice, and received the OUA Gail Wilson Award during the 2016 campaign.Â
Internationally, she has competed with Team Canada at both indoor and outdoor events. She made her indoor debut with the national team at the Can-Am Indoor Test Series in 2013 and field hockey national team debut in 2017. She competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, won gold in 2014 and silver in 2021 at the Indoor Pan-Am Cup, and grabbed bronze at the 2022 Pan-Am Cup.
Transitioning to the sidelines as a coach, Alison has served as head coach for a number of different Team Ontario squads. As well, she returned as an assistant with U of T in 2023. Most recently, Alison served as an assistant for the U21 Canadian men's national team which claimed silver at the 2026 Junior Pan-Am Championships.
In addition to her work on the field hockey pitch, Alison is also the Ticketing Coordinator for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.
