BLUES GOLF CONTINUES BUSY SCHEDULE WITH WESTERN INVITATIONAL

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues golf teams continued their busy invitational schedule competing in the annual Western Invitational on Monday (Sept. 21).

The Toronto women took to West Haven Golf and Country Club for their round of 18. Continuing her strong start to the fall, Mia Wong once again delivered the top result for the Blues finishing in a tie for sixth place with an 80. Not far behind, Mia Sung scored an 82 to tie for 10th. In a field of 41 golfers, Cindy Xiao finished 17th with an 87 and Lucie Liu placed 24th with an 89. Toronto's top three scores combined to place them in third in the overall team standings.

The U of T men competed at St. Thomas Golf and Country Club on Monday, finishing sixth in the overall team standings. Three Blues placed within the Top 25 in the 68-person field, led by Jordan Hutchings in a tie for 20th at 76. One stroke back were both Sandro Di Felice and Shao Liu. Rounding out the U of T men's scores, Mac Andrekson notched an 81 while Jason Yang registered an 82.

The busy scheduled keeps going with next weekends Waterloo Invitational for the women and Laurier-Waterloo Invitational for the men. The Blues women will compete at the Cambridge Gof Course for their two-day tournament. Meanwhile, the men will complete one round at Rebel Creek Golf Course and the other at Grey Silo Golf Course.
