The No. 6 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team extended their current win streak to 10-straight after defeating the RMC Paladins 3-1 on Saturday (Jan. 31) afternoon in Kingston.
Set scores for the match were 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18.
Three different Blues reached double-digits in the win, led by fifth-year outside hitter Hunter Arulpragasam. The U of T veteran tallied 22 points with 18 kills, one solo block and a game-high three service aces. Fellow outside hitters Iannis Toma added 11 points from 10 kills and one solo block, while Munkh-Orgil Tserenjamts recorded seven kills, two solo blocks and one service ace. Fourth-year setter Michael Hickey finished the contest with 33 assists. Defensively, second-year middle Luka Minic turned aside a game-high three solo blocks and fifth-year libero Rylan Armstrong made a game-high 11 digs.
For the second straight match Tommy Roussel topped the Paladins with 11 kills and two service aces.
The Varsity Blues conclude their regular season campaign with four home games inside Goldring Centre, beginning with a showdown versus the No. 9 nationally ranked Queen's Gaels on Friday, Feb. 6. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at
