The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team continued their preseason schedule with a pair of matches in Montreal this weekend.

Beginning with a contest versus the UQAM Citadins on Saturday (Sept. 27) afternoon, the Blues were able to complete a reverse sweep earning a 3-2 victory. Set scores in the match were 17-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Toronto then faced off with the Montreal Carabins on Sunday (Sept. 28), requiring another five sets to determine a winner, but falling just short in extra points. Set scores in the second match of the weekend were 19-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-16, 17-19.

U of T will return to Toronto to next challenge the York Lions in an exhibition contest at York on Friday, Oct. 3. The Blues then finish their preseason schedule with a pair of home games at the Goldring Centre Kimel Family Field House, welcoming the McMaster Marauders on Sunday, Oct. 4 and Guelph Gryphons on Saturday, Oct. 18.
