The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team wrapped up their regular season with a 3-0 sweep of the RMC Paladins on Saturday (Feb. 15) afternoon in Kingston, Ontario. The Blues secured the victory with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, and 25-16.
Toronto showcased their offensive efficiency with 35 kills and a .276 hitting percentage while limiting RMC to just 22 kills and a .136 efficiency. The Blues limited the RMC attack by recording 42 digs and eight total blocks.
Olivia Zhu led the charge with 10 kills, hitting .290 while adding eight digs, a service ace, and 13 points. Julia Murmann followed with seven kills, six digs, and two service aces, good for 11 points.
Anna Gadomski was highly efficient, contributing six kills on a .750 hitting percentage, while Natalia Souza added three kills and eight digs. Robin Melnick kept the offense flowing with 25 assists and seven digs, while libero Delaney Watson anchored the back row with eight digs.
Sara Grosse and Eve Smith each tallied seven kills, but the Paladins struggled to generate sustained offensive pressure against Toronto's dominant defense.
The Blues will look to carry this momentum into the postseason as they will face the first-place Queen's Gaels in the OUA quarterfinals on Saturday, Feb. 22. First serve will be announced at a later date. The game will be streamed live on
