The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's curling team competed at the Trent Invitational on Saturday (Nov. 22) in Peterborough, Ont., finishing the tournament with one win and two losses.
The Blues began the day against the host, Trent Excalibur, falling 6-2 to the undefeated hosts. The Blue and White were able to bounce back in the second contest with an impressive showing in an 11-3 victory over the Guelph Gryphons where Toronto scored seven unanswered points after Guelph cut the lead to one. U of T wrapped up the invitational with a hard fought 5-4 loss to the Queen's Gaels where the Blues nearly erased a two-point deficit in the final end.

Up next, the Blues will host the U of T Intercollegiate Bonspiel at the Thornhill Curling Club on Saturday (Nov. 29) when they take on the TMU Bold at 9:30 a.m., followed by games against the Algoma Thunderbirds at 1:30 p.m., and the Humber Hawks at 4:30 p.m.
