University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball outside hitters Iannis Toma received OUA athlete of the week honours for the period ending November 16, 2025.

In a grueling weekend which saw back-to-back five set contests at Waterloo, Toma set new career-high's to help the Blues to a 5-1 record to begin the new season. The mathematics and statistics major from Kitchener registered a new single game best 30.5 points and 26 kills in U of T's Friday night victory over the Warriors. He then added another 18 points with 17 kills on Saturday to lift his two match total to 48.5 points and 43 kills. Toma currently ranks Top 5 in several offensive categories including total kills (98 - 2nd), kills per set (3.63 - 4th) and total points (108.5 - 5th).

The Varsity Blues men's volleyball team next host the Nipissing Lakers this weekend in back-to-back matches at the Goldring Centre - Kimel Family Field House. Tickets for home Varsity Blues matches are available at varsityblues.ca/tickets.
