The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's cross country teams both reached the podium at the Don Mills Open, hosted by the Waterloo Warriors, on Saturday, September 28.

Led by a gold-medal finish from OUA reigning individual champion Julia Agostinelli (21:11), the Blues women placed second overall with 49 points, just behind her former Guelph Gryphons team (40) and ahead of the host Warriors (53).

Sarah Luedke (6th, 22:35), Liana De Medeiros (12th, 22:57), Sophie Levasseur (13
th, 22:37) and Samantha Macdonald (17
th, 22:46.1) completed the top five for Toronto.

Toronto's men finished third overall with 93 points, behind Guelph (18) and the McMaster Marauders (67).

Fifth-year veteran Ben Shore led the Blues with a third-place individual finish, crossing the 6km finish line in 18:16.4. Adam Pralat (19
th, 19:25.4), Anton Mlynczyk (20
th, 19:26), Jabez Siu (21
st, 19:26.6) and Brandon Cidade (30
th, 19:45.5) rounded out the top five for U of T.

The Blues return to action on Friday, October 11 when they head to Hamilton, Ont., for the 8-Kay Marauder Invitational at Kay Drage Park.
