The University of Toronto Varsity Blues cross country teams kicked off their 2024 season at the Vigars & Salter Western Invitational on Saturday, September 21 at Thames Valley Golf Club in London, Ontario.

Women's Results
The women's 8km race saw the Varsity Blues finish fifth overall out of 11 teams, with a total score of 124 points.

Fourth-year Guelph Gryphons transfer Julia Agostinelli was the top performer for the Varsity Blues, crossing the finish line in 30:01 to secure second place overall. Sarah Luedke (32:06), Sophie Levasseur (32:12), Liana De Medeiros (32:18), and Samantha Macdonald (32:49) rounded out the top five for Toronto.

Men's Results
On the men's side, the Varsity Blues finished sixth out of 12 teams with a total score of 172 points.

Leading the way for Toronto was first-year standout Parker Levac, who finished 10th overall with a time of 26:04. Brandon Cidade (27:07), Anton Mlynczyk (27:53), Adam Pralat (28:05), and Jacob Mclean (28:08) also contributed to the team score.

Both teams are back in action next Saturday, September 28 when they head to Waterloo, Ont., for the Don Mills Open.
