Competing for Brazil, University of Toronto Varsity Blues rowing alumna Alina Dumas qualified for the 2024 Paris Paralympics as a member of her countries PR3 coxed four crew.

Dumas achieved qualification earlier this week when her crew placed second overall at the Brazilian Olympic and Paralympic qualifiers. 

Dumas previously competed with the Varsity Blues rowing team during the 2016 season, being featured in the women's lightweight eight boat which earned a season-best third place finish at the Guelph Invitational.

The chemistry and genetics graduate also competed with the Varsity Blues mountain biking team in 2015.
