The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team beat the Trent Excalibur 3-0 on Saturday (Feb. 3) afternoon in Peterborough, Ont.Â

Set scores in the match were 25-17, 25-12, 25-23.

While Blues led the Excalibur on all fronts, the third and final set was crucial for the team as they started the set trailing by three points. However, the Blues persevered and finished the game with 33 kills compared to the Excalibur 22, scoring 11 service aces to the Excalibur's four, and having 91 total attacks to the opponents 83.Â
Outside hitter Olivia Zhu led the Blues with a game-high 16 points. She tallied her points from 11 kills, five service aces, and one assist. Fellow outside hitter Julia Murmann registered above double digits with 13 points, recording 11 kills and two service aces.Â
First-year setter Anna Arellano led the Blues offensively with 25 assists improving her high from the previous game. Additionally, libero Delaney Watson recorded 12 digs in the match.

Ashley Chartier finished the game with a team-high seven points for Trent, with five kills and two solo blocks.
