The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team beat the Waterloo Warriors 77-38 on Saturday (Feb. 17) night in Waterloo, Ont.

With the win, the Blues now get ready for their OUA Quarter-Finals matchup next weekend. Their opponent has yet to be determined.

The blue and white came out hot in the first quarter, outscoring the Warriors 18-8, while getting crucial points from the starters and bench players. The momentum continued with Toronto through into the second quarter, where veteran guard Callum Baker shot 3-for-3 from the field, while the Blues recorded 23 points. The Blues offence continued to produce into the second half, recording 36 points, while on the defensive end the Warriors were held to 19 points through the third and fourth quarter.

The Blues were led by Baker, who recorded a game-high 23 points, along with five assists, three rebounds and two steals. Somachi Agbapu was key under the basket, finishing with a team-high eight rebounds.

While for the Warriors, Cristian Craciun and Andrew Cook finished the game with a team-high 11 and 10 points, respectively.
