The Varsity Blues men's hockey team fell 3-0 to the Queen's Gaels on Friday (Jan. 19) night in Kingston, Ont.

The Gaels opened the scoring five minutes into the first period with a goal from Jonathan Yantsis. Despite multiple power play opportunities through the rest of the first period, the Blues were unable to put the puck past Queen's goalie Christian Purboo.
Alex Robert doubled Queen's lead early into the second period.

After both teams battled hard through the third period, Yantsis added his second goal of the night on the empty net with just 30 seconds remaining.

Blues veteran goalie Jett Alexander finished the game with 22 saves through the 60 minutes.Â
