With the help of two points from Ben Woodhouse, the U of T men's hockey team won 3-1 against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 23) in Oshawa, Ont.

Defence played a key role for both sides in the first period, and the Blues succeeded in shutting down the opposing team's offensive opportunities.Â

Third-year forward, Ben Woodhouse, set up Graham Dickerson for a shot in the first two minutes of the second period. Ridgebacks forward Ryley Lanthier answered with a goal a few moments later.

Woodhouse carried his momentum into the third period and scored the Blues' second goal of the game. The team executed their momentum through the end, with Owen Robinson creating his own path to bring the Blues to a 3-1 win.
With the road win, the Blues conclude their preseason with a 3-1 record overall next heading into the OUA regular season.
