The battle continued into the second set with the teams trading chances throughout. The Blues would take the first considerable lead late into the set 18-15, but the first seed Golden Bears would rally back to take the second set 25-22.

Despite the Blues not holding a lead in the third set, they were able to keep the game just within reach. The Golden Bears would go on to take the third set 25-22. The Bears momentum continued into the fourth set. The Blues would battle hard to try and take the set, but Alberta would win the fourth and the game 25-20.
