The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell to the Waterloo Warriors 69-61 on Saturday (Feb. 11) night at the Goldring Centre for High-Performance Sport.
With the loss, the Blues fall to fourth place in the OUA Central division.
TORONTO STATS: For the fifth-straight game, third-year standout Callum Baker led all players. The Oakville, Ont. native recorded 22 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal.

HOW IT HAPPENED: A foul-heavy first quarter saw the Blues drop the opening frame 23-11 to the Warriors. The slow start was largely attributed to an aggressive Waterloo team. In the quarter, the Blues would make only one basket from outside the free-throw line.
Despite their slow start, the Blues would rally back through the second quarter outscoring the Warriors 19-12. With this offensive surge, the Blues were able to shrink the Warriors lead to five by the half (35-30).
Carrying their momentum into the third quarter, the Blues would comeback to lead the Warriors 40-39 halfway through the quarter. However, the Warriors used the time remaining to battle back and take a 51-43 lead in the quarter.
Ultimately, the game would fall in the Warriors favour by a score of 69-51.
UP NEXT: The Varsity Blues are back on the court tomorrow Saturday, February 18 when they face off against the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton, Ont. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
