The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team wrapped up the fall semester with a dominant 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-19) victory over the York Lions on Sunday, December 3.

The Blues were able to take advantage of the Lions mistakes thanks to a disciplined approach. As opposed to York's 40Â combined errors of serve, reception, and attack, Toronto had 27 total errors. Additionally, the Blues dominated at the net recording, 9.0 total blocks through the quick three sets of action.

Leading the Blues on the night was third-year outside hitter Hunter Arulpragasam, who recorded a game-high 16.5 points from 15 kills, one service ace, and one block assist. Additional offence came from Jayden Talsma who tallied nine points from eight kills and two block assists, while Josh Chapman added two kills, two aces, two solo blocks, and a block assist.
Blues third-year setter Davis Young guided the offence with 25 assists, while libero Kenneth Mann and Talsma tied defensively with five digs apiece.

Toronto will be back on the court on Thursday (Jan. 4) night to compete against Guelph University. First serve for the match is scheduled for 8 p.m. All the action can be caught online via OUA.tv.
